Hollow Birch and Poplar
Natural Wood bark and all!
These are hard to find in the shape they are in. Still very solid, but hollow due to old age and rotting. They are cut in different lengths, but mostly under 50cm.
There are many great uses for wood like this. I have seen one with a piece of glass over the top and used as a display pedestal.
Fill with soil and plant a tree seedling, would make a great planter for a bonsia tree.
Lay it on it's side and it becomes a cave for that special little critter you have.
Cut thin layers for making crafts or clocks. Sand it and oil it to make a wonderful all natural center piece.
